BALTIMORE -- With Chris Davis leading the way, the Baltimore Orioles put on another long-ball display in an important win over the Chicago White Sox. Jae Crowder Jazz Jersey . This victory, however, was different than all the rest. Scott Feldman pitched a five-hitter for Baltimores first complete game of the season, Davis hit his major league-leading 48th home run and the Orioles dealt Chicago its eighth straight defeat, 4-0 Friday night. Danny Valencia and Matt Wieters also homered for the Orioles, who began the day three games behind Tampa Bay for the final AL wild-card slot. Making his 11th start since he was acquired in a trade with the Cubs on July 2, Feldman (5-4) allowed only one runner past first base in his first career shutout. The right-hander walked one and struck out three. "Its my first shutout, so anytime something like that happens, its something Ill always remember," Feldman said. "All these games are important, so just to win the game is huge. If I go nine or seven, whatever it is, as long as we win its a good game." His only other complete game came on May 1, for the Cubs against San Diego. It was Baltimores first complete game since June 16, 2012, by Jason Hammel against Atlanta. "We just couldnt get anything going," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. "We got a couple hits here and there, but nothing with anything on it. Even when we got some guys on, we couldnt really do anything with it." Davis connected in the sixth inning off John Danks to move within two homers of tying Brady Anderson for the single-season club record. The solo shot gave Davis 123 RBIs, second-most in the majors behind Detroits Miguel Cabrera (130). The Orioles lead the majors with 191 home runs, which is the main reason why theyre still in the thick of the playoff chase. It was the second day in a row that Baltimore hit three solo shots. "I think its just a combination of guys feeling a little bit of urgency and being aggressive in the right spots," Davis said. "Nobodys going up there expecting to hit home runs or trying to hit home runs. I think the biggest thing is trying to get a pitch to drive and letting the bat kind of take over. This is obviously a big point in the year for us. We need to win as many games as possible and the fact that guys are stepping up big in these spots is huge." Chicago fell to 0-8 on a road trip that began with three losses in Boston and three more at Yankee Stadium. The last-place White Sox have scored only one run in the first two games of this series, which runs through Sunday. "I dont think theyre pressing," Ventura said. "Its just the way it is. I dont know what there is to press for." Danks retired the first eight batters he faced, all on balls in the air. Then Valencia hit a liner into the left-field seats to put the Orioles up 1-0. It was the 15th consecutive run scored by Baltimore via the home run. Chicago missed a chance to pull even in the fourth when Jeff Keppinger was thrown out by centre fielder Adam Jones while trying to score on a two-out single by Paul Konerko. Replays indicated Keppinger got his hand on the plate before Wieters made the tag. Danks didnt get his first groundball out until the fifth inning, when Michael Morse hit into a double play following singles by J.J. Hardy and Nick Markakis. Valencia followed with an infield hit down the third-base line for a 2-0 lead. Davis and Wieters homered in succession in the sixth, chasing Danks. Davis was 0 for 12 lifetime against Danks before a single in the fourth. "The few mistakes I made, they hit them out of the ballpark," Danks said. Wieters homer was his 21st, the 20th as a catcher. He is the first player in Orioles history to have three straight seasons with 20 home runs as a catcher, according to the team. NOTES: The White Sox activated RH reliever Ramon Troncoso from the DL and outrighted RHP Jhan Marinez to Triple-A Charlotte. ... Baltimore purchased the contract of OF Chris Dickerson from Triple-A Norfolk and designated INF Alex Liddi for assignment. ... Wei-Yin Chen takes the mound for the Orioles on Saturday. Hector Santiago will pitch for the White Sox. ... Keppinger got two hits off Feldman and is 6 for 11 lifetime against him. ... Jones is 1 for 30 lifetime against Danks. ... Hardy has hit in six straight games, going 10 for 20 during that span. Trey Lyles Jersey . In the calls, Hernandez discussed the murder of Odin Lloyd, including his "belief about his criminal liability" and the "extent of his control over persons charged as accessories," according to the request filed Thursday in Fall River Superior Court. Rudy Gobert Jersey . -- Josh Smith made a 3-pointer as time expired and finished with 20 points to lift the Detroit Pistons to a 99-98 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday night in both teams exhibition finale. http://www.officialjazzproauthentic.com/Authentic-Jeff-Hornacek-Jazz-Jersey/ . Trailing 4-1 in the final set, Sharapova steadied her erratic service game and took command again to beat the 56th-ranked American 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 on clay at the Magic Box tennis centre. The ninth-ranked Russian looked to be cruising before McHale broke late in the second set to tie the match and then took her commanding lead in the final set after breaking Sharapova.BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A fast start, a few opportune bounces and rookie goalie Dustin Tokarskis shutout performance allowed the Montreal Canadiens to avoid needing any late-game dramatics on consecutive nights. A day after being called up from AHL Hamilton, Tokarski made 29 saves to earn his first career shutout in a 2-0 win over the injury-depleted Buffalo Sabres on Sunday night. "It felt pretty good. Im not going to lie," Tokarski said. "The main thing is the two points going down the stretch here for this hockey team, and just a little icing on the cake with the shutout, I guess." The shutout was certainly timely for a Canadiens team coming off an emotional high following a 5-4 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night. It was a game in which Montreal became the NHLs first team to win by overcoming a three-goal deficit with less than five minutes remaining. "Every time you play an emotional game, as a coach youre always afraid that the next game could be tougher," coach Michel Therrien said. "But we got a really good start, and this is something weve been doing lately." Brendan Gallagher and Dale Weise scored 1:26 apart in the first period, both coming off pucks that caromed into the net. Weise opened the scoring when a rebound banked in off his skate. Gallaghers goal came on a rebound that caromed in off the leg of Sabres defenceman Chad Ruhwedel. Montreal (37-25-7) vaulted into second place in the Atlantic Division by jumping ahead of Toronto and Tampa Bay. The league-worst Sabres (19-41-8) continue heading in reverse, having lost six straight in regulation -- their worst streak since losing seven in a row from Dec. 4-19, 2003. And theyve lost another goalie to injury after starter Jhonas Enroth did not return following a collision with Gallagher with 3:51 left in the second period. Referring to it as a lower-body injury, coach Ted Nolan said Enroth could be out indefinitely. "It doesnt look like its going to be short-term," Nolan said. "It seems like we have bad luck, or we have no luck at all." Gallagher was driving to the net from the left circle and got a shot off when he was struck from behind by Buffalo defenceman Jamie McBain and tumbled directly into Enroth. The goalie lay on thhe ice for a few minutes before he got up and attempted to stretch his right leg while being examined by a trainer. Alec Burks Jazz Jersey. Enroth then skated to the bench and was escorted into the locker room. Rookie Nathan Lieuwen was forced into action, and stopped all 10 shots he faced in his NHL debut. Lieuwen was called up from AHL Rochester earlier in the day after backup Michal Neuvirth complained of a lower body injury before Buffalos 4-1 loss at the New York Islanders on Saturday. That leaves the Sabres in a position of calling up Matt Hackett from Rochester before embarking on a five-game road trip that opens at Calgary on Tuesday. Lieuwen was playing on his third consecutive day after stopping 31 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss to Binghamton on Friday, and another 38 in a 2-1 loss to Binghamton on Saturday. "It was all adrenaline," Lieuwen said. "How I played the two nights before really did help. As soon as the faceoff started, it was like I was in a game again, and I could focus in." His best save came with 10:25 left, when he lunged from his crease and got his blocker up to turn aside former Sabres player Thomas Vaneks one-timer from the slot. Tokarski started in place of Carey Price, who didnt travel with the team. Therrien was wary of playing Price on consecutive nights after the goalie aggravated a lower-body injury during Canadas gold-medal run at the Sochi Games. Tokarski was sharp in the opening frame, when he turned aside Drew Staffords backhander in front. He was also fortunate with 12:47 left in the third period, when Stafford had a shot go off the right post. The Sabres continue to struggle generating offence. Theyve managed a league-worst 132 this season, and have scored just five in their past six games. NOTES: Vanek played his first game at Buffalo since the Sabres traded him to the New York Islanders in October. The Canadiens acquired Vanek in a deal with the Isles two weeks ago. Vanek drew a standing ovation during a first-period break, after the Sabres broadcast a series of highlights on their videoboard. ... Buffalo will close the season playing 10 of its final 14 games on the road. ... Nolan expects C Torrey Mitchell to be ready to return Tuesday, after missing his sixth game with a lower body injury.
